5 useful tips in the proofreading tool ProoferHive.

In this post, we will share some tips and tricks. As new features keep popping up, it's easy to miss or forget something useful.

 

1. Sort the files in your own desired order by drag and drop.

Here's how:

Select "Custom" from the sorting options in the list at the top right of an open tab. Grab the file that you want to move, and drop it to the desired location. Ta-da!

NOTE! Your sorting choices do not affect the layout of other users, only your own.

 

2. Automatic update of multi-page PDFs.

Here's how:

Upload new versions in the current tab and leave the remaining work to the technology. ProoferHive keeps track of which file belongs to which location and detects where changes have been made.

NOTE! New files must have the same filename as the existing ones. Automatic update currently applies to all file formats except video.

 

3. Drag and drop new individual version.

Here's how:

When you are in review mode - drag the new version, from the desktop for example, and drop the new file over the existing one. A convenient way to upload a new version.

 

4. Keyboard shortcut for zooming.

Here's how:

Zoom into the details quickly - Hold down the Ctrl (Control) key while scrolling. For Mac users, ⌘ Cmd (Command) + scroll also works.

 

5. Browse back and forth between the files.

Here's how:

Simply use the right and left arrows on your keyboard to quickly jump to the next or previous file within the current tab.
