How can a "proofreading tool" support the entire production process?

The images illustrates the interaction in ProoferHive.

Let's take it from the beginning. It all starts with a brief. The client of the creative services will upload the brief, and perhaps some other documents such as sketches, drafts and/or Excel files are attached as well.

Here, the presentation and discussion can begin – and already at this stage, the process is quite similar to a "proofreading process" because details may be adjusted and some information may be added. The fact that everyone has access to the latest updated documents significantly facilitates the project work.

Everything is gathered in a tab called "Document", "Order" or "Brief" and is included in the project folder. It’s up to you, the participants, what to name each folder and what kind of structure you want.

The project usually begins with a brief from the client.

During the creative process, the agency team can disconnect the marketing team and work undisturbed and collaborate and discuss solutions, texts and layouts. When you can pin-point, mark up, draw and comment directly on the design that has been uploaded, it becomes as simple as having them all sitting next to each other. Of course you can also do that, but then you have to find the times that suit everyone. The advantage here is that you can choose to work in real time or when you have the time. And you can do the work from where you are.

… In real-time or when you have time.

The agency uploads files for internal review.

Creative process - The agency's drafts and sketches

When the creative team is finished with their drafts and campaign suggestions, the marketing team is involved again. If you work with ProoferHive's "Levels" then the reviewers only get access to the latest versions and these are also "exempt" from all previous dialogue and all previous annotations.

The agency connects marketing teams who can then connect any external reviewers.

Now, the discussion can reopen and details can be corrected. Updated versions are uploaded and reviewed. (Read more about automatic update of multi-page PDF).

When all parts of the project are final approved, then ProoferHive can facilitate deliveries and sharing of files for publication. All project members can download finished material in the project, and you can choose to involve (give access) to other people in the company, anyone who should be able to download material. And externals can easily be reached with the Share link, where you select the files or tabs to which the person should be assigned permission. Via their email link, they can read your instructions and download the materials they need.
